Covadonga es una parroquia situada muy cerca de Cangas de Onís en Asturias. Incluye el Real sitio de Covadonga, con su santuario y forma parte del Parque Nacional de los Picos de Europa.

Covadonga is a parish situated very near of Cangas of Onis in Asturias. Includes the Real place of Covadonga, with it sanctuary and is part of the National Park of the Europe Peaks.



Su santuario es dedicado a la Virgen de Covadonga (La Santina), por la Batalla de Covadonga.
- Santa Cueva, es el elemento central, en ella se encuentra la Capilla-Sagrario con la imagen de la Virgen y la tumba de los reyes Don Pelayo y Alfonso I.
- Monasterio de San Pedro.
- Basílica de Santa María la Real de Covadonga, de estilo neorrománico construida en piedra caliza rosa.
- La estatua de Don Pelayo.
- El obelisco, es una réplica de la Cruz de la Victoria, levantado por los duques de Montpensier en un lugar llamado ``El Repelao´´, según la tradición Don Pelayo fue coronado rey.

También es conocida en el ciclismo, la subida a sus lagos por su dureza se ha convertido en muchas ediciones de la Vuelta Ciclista como final de etapa.
